I’ve always loved the idea of a chalkboard wall in or near a kitchen. Someday, I would really love to add this in a space. It’s a creative touch with an element of whimsy. (Particularly if you let people use colored chalk to draw on it.) Plus, it’s an inexpensive decorating technique which creates a large impact.
